Suffer the children

-

I have a dream that one day I will become a social worker. I want to be a social worker because I have seen children who grow up traumatised and abused, with no hope, no support, and no one to talk to. Some children have lost their parents, some have no food and no place to live. Some are very poorly educated.

This situation is extremely sad and more widespread than many would want to admit. I believe in education because knowledge can give you power. Without education you are like a bird with a broken wing - you cannot fly high enough. You have a difficult future ahead of you, especially with limited education and skills.

Through professional social work I can gain the training to help those in need, especially the suffering children I see around me every day. I love children! I will be happy to know that they are safe and have someone to turn to for support. I want to be that someone, so I can help them find acceptance and safety first, then I want to assist with their education. I have this dream. My plan is to reach this dream through hard work and determination. I am Anelisa. I am in Grade 10.
