nonke! Welcome to Thetha Uvakale (speak and be heard). We are very excited to let you know that in today's edition, we celebrate the love of a mother and the inspiration she provides for her son. What a bond!

We are also very pleased to introduce you to the Community Engagement volunteers (in pic form). They are from RU and been working tirelessly with us since last weekend. All of them are enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about working with young people in Grahamstown. Last Saturday was a so energising for us as we were meeting with them and getting to know them better. Now, we all know that bullying can be a terrible matter. Liyabona Mbangi, from Mary Waters, explains how bullying effects us all. Remember to seek help if you are experiencing bullying. If possible then report this asap. As I said at the start, today we celebrate a mom and her son! Luthen Meintjies, sees his mother as his role model. He tells us about her love and care and how she struggled to get him to school, and always supported him. I find it heartwarming to see that some youth appreciate and value their parents.

Our Makana Star this week is Sihle Mzimzi, who is a busy bee at Upstart.
