Hospice Raffle: thank you for your support

-

Grahamstown Hospice and Sunshine Coast Hospice rely to a certain extent on funding, donations and subscriptions from the public sector for the invaluable work they perform within their respective communities.

Thus, the hospices are ever-grateful for the ongoing financial support we receive.

In addition, golf days, social events and raffles are held from time to time to generate funds.

The most recent raffle organised by Grahamstown Hospice and Sunshine Coast Hospice realised some very welcome funds, and the hospices wish to thank all those who purchased tickets.

Residents along the coast and inland to Grahamstown and surrounds responded enthusiastically to requests from ticket sellers to purchase tickets, and we are most grateful. Your support is much appreciated. Of course, thanks and appreciation are also extended to the companies and individuals who donated prizes, and there were some really attractive prizes on offer.

The grand first prize of a two-night stay for two people at Kwandwe Private Game Reserve was won by Tom Gilles. The other prizes and prizewinners’ names are: • 2nd prize, Donation of a delicious lamb spit braai donated by Donovan Bridger (excludes travelling) – Sharn Price • 3rd prize, Trolley of goods donated by Pepper Grove Pick n Pay – Donovan Bridger • 4th prize, Gift voucher for R1 000 from Androniki Jewellers – Daphne Timm • 5th prize, Voucher for a carpet clean valued at R1 000 donated by Deep Clean (excludes travelling) - Ben Armstrong • 6th prize, Two side-tables donated by Ryan Ferguson – Round Table • 7th prize, Mystery bag of goodies donated by Tracy Mills of Pepper Tree – Di Ford • 8th prize – One container of 25 litres of water to be refilled each month for a period of one year from Oasis Water – Angela Baines • 9th prize, Two-hour landscape consultation with Julie Kent from Tiga’s Nursery (excludes travelling) – Anton van Aardt • 10th prize, Hamper from Carara, and a full-body massage from Kim Barnard at Health & Skin Care – Round Table.
