When new becomes old...

Lisa’s advice on a weathered look: • The surface to be painted will determine the type of preparation required. With Annie Sloan paint, little to no preparation is necessary. • I love sanding painted surfaces and then applying metallic paint (gold, silver and bronze) to highlight or emphasise certain areas. I also like combining different products – be prepared for the unexpected and have fun being creative! • There are different ways to achieve a weathered aesthetic. I deliberately painted Carina’s bathroom vanity to look more rustic and less polished, and in those areas that I wanted to emphasise, the paint was wiped off with a rag before it was completely dry.
