Here’s how...

1 Using a pencil, lightly draw a silhouette of your favourite city on the wall above the bed.

2 Stick ordinary masking tape or blue painter’s masking tape around the outline of the design and on either side down to the floor.

3 Paint the silhouette. Ours is painted with two coats of dark grey (Dulux Great Grey) over the light grey wall (Dulux Silver Quill).

4 Make sure the paint is completely dry before removing the masking tape.

Tip

If you struggle to draw the silhouette on the wall, draw the outline on an A4 sheet of acetate with a black marker and use an overhead projector to project the image onto the wall.
