Amanda likes the earthy look of exposed bricks and searched long and hard before finding tiles that resemble unfinished red bricks at Builders. “I asked the tiler to apply the grout quite roughly. When it was dry, I used a steel brush to brush off the grout so that the colour of the bricks shows through. Because they are above the stove, I wanted to make sure that they are easy to clean – so we sealed them with Sabre Stoneseal.”
