Cyclamen persicum makes its appearance in stores in May, just in time for Mother’s Day! With blooms like butterfly wings above heart-shaped leaves, this indoor plant is a real showstopper. It’s a mountain flower from Turkey that grows and flowers under the snow, so it does best in a cool room but with good light. It’s a rewarding patio or courtyard plant too, especially when displayed in large groups.
Cyclamen comes in many colours, so you will always be able to find one that suits your living areas. Try grouping several plants together in a large glass pot or in a big bowl. Keep the soil moist but don’t over-water as the plant rots easily.
