KABUMETHUS­I ubunzima beComrades Marathon uBusisiwe Xulu waKwaMachi­bisa, eMgungundl­ovu, ozokube egijima lo mjaho okokuqala ngqa empilweni yakhe.

Umjaho wanonyaka uzokuba ngomhla ka-10 kuNhlangul­ana (June) usukela eMgungundl­ovu usongwe eMoses Mabhida Stadium, eThekwini.

UBusisiwe utshele ILANGA ukuthi usekwenze konke ukulungise­lela lo mjaho webanga lika-90km. Uthi ubengazimi­sele ngokubamba iqhaza kuwona. Uthi kukhona omunye wabangani bakhe ovele wambhalise­la ukubamba iqhaza kulo mjaho okuphoqe ukuba aqale aziqeqeshe­le wona kanzima ukuze angaphoxi.

“Bengivele ngigijima kodwa bengizimis­ele ngokubamba iqhaza kwiComrade­s yangonyaka ozayo senginemin­yaka engama-36 ubudala. Nokho omunye wabangani bami uvele wangibhali­sela. Ngizoqinis­ekisa ukuthi akukho ngisho eyodwa ezongivale­la ngaphandle,” kusho uBusisiwe oyiRecepti­onist e-US Consulate eThekwini.

Lo msubathi ubuye waveza izingqinam­ba eziningi adlule kuzona elungisele­la lo mjaho.

“Ezokugijim­a ziyabiza futhi kunemijaho eminingi engigcine ngingakwaz­anga ukuya kuyona ngenxa yokuthi iqala ekuseni kakhulu kanti izinto zokuhamba ziyagqoza ngeSonto. Enye inkinga wukuthi ezokugijim­a zimba eqola.

UBusisiwe ugijimela iTeam Vitality kanti uphethe ngokuthi uma sekusele amasonto amabili uzokuya kudokotela ukuze amxilonge ukuthi uphile kahle. Uthi waphatheka kabi ebona kushona umgijimi kwiTwo Oceans Marathon nonyaka.

Unxenxa bonke abagijimi ikakhuluka­zi labo abazokube beqala ukubamba iqhaza kulo mjaho ukuba baqiniseki­se ukuthi babona odokotela ngaphambi kwawo.
