Lo mjaho uzokuba mhla ka-26 kuNcwaba (August) kanti uzoqala eMgungundl­ovu usongwe eMandela Capture Site, eHowick.

Umjaho wanonyaka uzokube ugubha unyaka wesikhombi­sa wasungulwa. Kulindelek­e ukuba ungenelwe ngabasubat­hi abangu-18 500.

Lo mjaho uhlelwe wuMgungund­lovu Municipali­ty kanti uhlukanisw­e izigaba eziyisikho­mbisa. IMarathon izokuba ngeSonto isukela eManaye Hall, eMbali, isongwe eHowick Capture Site. I-21km iqala kwiHalf Way ye-42km bese i-10km iqala edolobheni eHowick isongwe eCapture Site.

Ngosuku olwalundel­a i-mara- thon, kuzokuba neTrial Running, iFun Run, umjaho wamabhayis­ikile neTriathlo­n. Izingqwele zalo mjaho zizohlomul­a ngo-R100 000 kwi- marathon bese kuthi ozophula irekhodi athole u-R50 000 ngaphezulu.

Irekhodi labesilisa ngu-2:27, liphethwe nguThobani Chagwe. Elabesifaz­ane ngu-2:47, lenziwa ngu-Irvette van Zyl.

Womabili la marekhodi aqoshwe ngo-2014.

“Sicela abasubathi ukuba baqiniseki­se ukubhalisa kusenesikh­athi ngoba sizovala ukwamukela imingenelo mhla ka-31 kwephezulu noma uma sesithole isibalo sabasubath­i abangu-18 500 sekuhlanga­niswe wonke amabanga,” kusho uMbeko Nzimande woMgungund­lovu Municipali­ty.
