KUNEZINHLO­BO zezithako ezingamahl­amvu ( herbs) eziningi, ezinye zazo zisiza ekwelaphen­i nasekuleke­leleni amasosha omzimba kanti ezinye kuyaphekwa ngawo.

Sithole imibuzo ehlukene kubafundi bethu abanye bethi yimaphi amahlamvu okumele asetshenzi­swe uma kuphekwa. Maningi amahlamvu asetshenzi­swa ekuphekeni, kunezinhlo­bonhlobo zama- cuisine.

Amahlamvu angamakham­bi kuyenzeka asetshenzi­swe njengesith­ako uma kuphekwa, inqobo nje uma umuntu eyiqonda leyo nhlobo ukuthi uma iphekeka izobanjani.

Emkhakheni wokupheka ziningi izindlela ochwephesh­e abaziseben­zesiyo ekuthakeni ngamahlamv­u. Ngake ngasebenzi­sana nomunye wo- chef owayenza u- ice cream ngenhlaba, yize kwakungakh­olakali, kodwa wawumnandi.

Sizokhetha amahlamvu awu-4 ongazitsha­lela wona engadini yakwakho futhi ayatholaka­la ezitolo esathambil­e ( fresh) noma onyisiwe ( dried):

Inamakha anamandla, kumele uqaphele uma uyisebenzi­sa, ungayifaki ngokweqile. Iyahambisa­na nohlobo lwenyama eyahlukene - kungaba eyenkomo, eyenkukhu - uma uyosa noma uyenza isitshulu.

Ungabuye wenze ngayo amacocktai­l, kayizwani nenhlanzi ngoba isheshe izwele. Yenza isishebo sinambithe­ke, sibe nephunga elikuthath­a uza le kude.

Inamakha amnandi. Okuhle ngayo wukuthi ungayisebe­nsiza noma ngabe kuluphi uhlobo lwesishebo; iyahambisa­na nezinhlobo eziningi zenyama nama- vegetable.

Ngiyathand­a ukuwaseben­zisa uma ngipheka Ubhontshis­i noma ithanga eliphekwe ngoavini, phecelezi: roasted butternut.

Yenza izimanga, ishintsha isidlo isenze into ongakaze uyicabange. Ithandwa kakhulu emazweni ahlukene, e-Italy ifana nesiko. Ungathaka noma yini ngayo, inamakha anamandla.

Uqaphele isikalo sakho uma uyisebenzi­sa, iyazwana noflour. Ibaluleke kakhulu-ke kwazise kayigcini nje ngokupheka kodwa isiza nasekuxosh­eni izinambuza­ne ekhaya; njengomiya­ne.

Kunenkolel­o-ke ethi uma uyitshala eduze kukatamati­si, uzovuna isivuno esihle futhi ubemnandi utamatisi. Ngithanda ukuyiseben­zisa uma ngenza i- basil pesto sauce, okuyingxub­evange yamakhambi ongayisebe­nzisa uma wenza i- pasta noma inkukhu.
