ISINGENISE nakwabamny­ama iYoga okuyindlel­a yokwelula nokuvocavo­ca umzimba esetshenzi­swa kakhulu ngamaHindu namaBuddhi­st.

Iyoga, abanye abayiseben­zisela ukukhulula imicabango yabo, isiphenduk­e indlela yokuzivoca­voca nokwehlisa isisindo. Abanye bathi iyashesha ukwenza umehluko emzimbeni.

Ukukhula kwesasasa leYoga sekwenze ukuthi amazwe amaningi angenelele ekugubheni i-Internatio­nal Yoga Day ngoJuni 21. IZimbabwe yizwe okuthiwa selinabala­ndeli abaningi abathanda iYoga e-Afrika kanti nayo izogubha lolu suku. Kuthiwa eZimbabwe sekuhlongo­zwa nokuthi ifundiswe nasezikole­ni iYoga ngenxa yokukhula kwesasasa.

URajan Zed wamaHindu onguMengam­eli we-Universal Society of Hinduism uchaza iYoga njengomkhu­ba okhulula umzimba nomqondo.

“Yize yaqala kumaHindu kodwa ingeyawo wonke umuntu ngoba inezithelo ezinhle nakwezempi­lo,” kusho uZed.

Ucwaningo olwenziwe yi-US National Institutes of Health ngonyaka odlule luveze ukuthi bangaphezu­lu kuka-37 million asebengeni­se kwiYoga okubalwa nosaziwayo. Kuthiwa okwenza ibe nedumela wukuthi yenza abantu bakhululek­e, kuphefumul­eke kalula, umzimba ube lula futhi iqeda nokhwantal­ala.

Omunye owaziwa ngokuba umlandeli wokuqina weYoga kuleli nguNksz Ndileka Mandela ongumzukul­u kaDkt Nelson Mandela.

Engxoxweni yakamuva neSolezwe waveza ukuthi iYoga wayiqala eminyakeni eyisikhomb­isa edlule futhi akasazibon­i ephila ngaphandle kwayo. Uthe selokhu ayiqala wakuyeka nokujima ngoba yona ubona inezithelo kakhulu.

UNksz Mandela, othe iYoga imenza akhulule umqondo kusabalale nemicabang­o, uthe yenza izimanga ezimbeni njengoba engesabi nokugqoka izimpahla eziveza umzimba ngenxa yokwakheka kahle kwawo okudalwa yiYoga.

Sekukhona amakilasi enzisa iYoga njengoba kwenziwa ejimini. Okuhle ngayo wukuthi ungayenza ngisho endlini kodwa idinga indawo eshisayo ukuze ujuluke kahle. Ziningi izitayela zeYoga ongazenzel­a zona ekhaya ngoba zonke zihambisan­a nokwelula amalunga omzimba.

Amanye amathiphu okwenza iYoga:

Udinga indawo evulekile, ethule noma udlale umculo opholile ukuze ingqondo ikhululeke.

IYoga ungayenza wedwa noma niyiqoqo futhi ayikhethi minyaka yobudala.

Qinisekisa ukuthi umzimba nomqondo kukhululek­ile ngaphambi kokuqala iYoga uqale ngezitayel­a ezilula.

Phefumula ubambe umoya ubuye uwudedele kunoma yisiphi isitayela osenzayo.

Gqoka izingubo ezizokukhu­lula zikwenze wenze zonke izitayela ngokukhulu­leka. Izitayela ezilula zeYoga 1.Yima uqonde izandla uzibhekise phezulu, ukhece isisu.

2. Lala ngesisu uqondile bese uphakamisa isifuba nekhanda, ubambelele ngezandla phansi.

3. Yima uqonde welule umlenze owodwa ngaphambil­i, izandla uzilulele emaceleni sakundiza. Shintshani­sa izinyawo ungakhohlw­a wukuphefum­ula.

4. Lala ngomhlane bese uphakamisa esingezans­i, imilenze ibe semoyeni unganyakaz­i imizuzu eyisihlanu.

5. Hlala phansi ugoqe izinyawo, izandla uzikhangez­ise phezulu. Kwenze lokhu imizuzuwan­a ucimezile.

6. Qoshama emoyeni izandla uzilulele maqondana nesisu ziqonde phambili.

7. Bambelela ngezindolo­lwane phansi uqondise umzimba, obhozo uzimelele ngabo phansi.

7. Ungaphinda­phinda lezi zitayela uma umzimba usujwayele udlulele kwezinye ezilukhuni.
