Ufuna ukuqinisa isandla esibhakeleni
USIHLALO omusha webhodi yeBoxing South Africa (BSA), uPeter Ngatane, uxwayisa ngokuqinisa isandla kwezimenenja nabaqeqeshi besibhakela abadonsa izinyawo ekuzameleni amabhokisa izimpi.
UNgatane umenyezelwe kwesokuba ngusihlalo omusha nguNgqongqoshe weZemidlalo eNingizimu Afrika uThulas Nxesi, emasontweni amabili edlule. Ungene endaweni kaNtambi Rhavele owayeqokwe nguFikile Mbalula oshenxisiwe kwezemidlalo. Kungokwesithathu uNgatane eqokelwa kulesi sikhundla kusukela isibhakela saphathwa ngomthetho omusha iSA Boxing Act 2001.
Uqokwe noMatilda Kabini, Mzamo Gumbi, Khulile Radu, Luthando Jack, Letlhogonolo Noge-Tungamirai noGilberto Martins okungabantu abanamava ekuphathweni kwesibhakela eNingizimu Afrika.
Ngaphandle kwalokho kunezisindo esibhakeleni ezingalwi isikhathi esiningi. Ngo-2016 isikhalo esikhulu kubalandeli bekungesokuthi amabhokisa ajoyine isigaba esikhokhelayo nonyaka kodwa iningi lawo alikaze lizithole izimpi.

Akukuhle ukuthi sinompetha womhlaba oyedwa kodwa akuwona umsebenzi wethu ukuhlela izimpi. Sizoqinisa isandla ezimenenjeni nakubaqeqeshi abangawasukumeli amabhokisa ukuthi athole izimpi. Uma uyimenenja ufanele ukunakekela ibhokisa wenze isiqiniseko sokuthi liyazithola izimpi.”
UNgatane uthe inhloso yabo enkulu wukubeka amabhokisa ezingeni lokuthi ahehe nabaxhasi futhi akhokheleke ngendlela efanele.
“Ezikhathini zakudala amabhokisa ayehlala ejimini kungakhathaleki ukuthi azolwa noma cha. Kodwa manje uthola ukuthi ibhokisa lifika esikalini lishaye isisindo esingaphezulu. Sekufanele ligijime. Inkinga isemqondweni. Kuzofanele sisebenze kakhulu ukuqeda lesi simo,” kusho uNgatane.
