Keith Groeneveld says he looks at how a player conducts themselves on and off the pitch when he selects his role-models. “I look up to guys like Vincent Kompany, Rio Ferdinand and Jerome Boateng. They are all massively talented team players and also true leaders on and off the pitch,” he tells KICK OFF. Kompany is the captain of Belgium and also plays for Manchester City, while Ferdinand is a former Manchester United and England legend. Boateng won the World Cup with Germany in 2014.
