The White Head of the Free State

Ntate Petrus Molemela made the white head fashionable in Bloemfontein – he was a brand on its own. I remember my burning desire to play for his team when I was studying in Bloemfontein. It was going to be a dream come true to play for such a funky and spirited chairman, with a football soul second to none. The home game of Celtics always had the special ingredient of the white head, hence it was always entertaining to go and watch. My dream did not come true at the time, but I managed to play for the team two-and-a-half years ago, and man I enjoyed my stint there, even though it was short after Chippa United came knocking. I really enjoyed my stay at the team where the White Head was life president. Your contribution to football can never be forgotten.
