MANYAMA HONOURED BY AWARD
Manyama says he’s honoured to have been voted KICK OFF Player of the Year. “It’s an honour to know my job has been recognised, with all the hard work I have put in during the season,” he says. “We have to entertain the fans, and I’m glad I was able to do that this season.” Manyama’s 13 league goals was more than all of his past four seasons combined, as the forward explains what changed in his game. “It was about getting more into the box,” he reveals. “I usually concentrate on making the team play, and didn’t push forward too much. I had to get stronger and use both abilities, scoring goals and making sure the team gets moving at different times. And luckily I had the freedom at City to do that. It wasn’t an easy challenge, but I think I did well for myself and the team.”
