Mhango has used his name to launch a clothing brand back home in Malawi. “With that part of my business people are wearing the brand back home and it is available at some stores in Malawi,” he says. “People back home love me, so I told myself that since I cannot meet their requests for my playing jersey I can at least come up with my own brand that people can wear with pride. “The profit margins are very small because all that I want is for the people to have access to it.”
