WHAT’S IN A NAME?

The Bidvest Wits forward insists Gabadinho is his birth name given to him by his late grandfather. “I am from a football loving family, and before my grandfather passed away he held me in his hands as a baby and told my mom and dad that I am giving this boy the name Gabadinho,” Mhango says. “He was also called Gaba during his playing days as he loved joking and laughing. I don’t know the meaning of the name and even when I asked my grandmother she couldn’t explain this to me before she also passed away.”
