Kick Off

PROSPECTS:

-

Kaizer Chiefs look to be in the driving seat for the league title, but they have seen a once commanding lead cut down to just four points, while they have also played a game more than second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns.

Added to that, the fact that BidVest Wits are still playing catch-up football from their CAF Confederation Cup exploits means that the AmaKhosi must meet The Clever Boys twice still in the campaign.

Wits are one of their major title rivals, and to go with a game against Sundowns as well, those three matches could have a massive bearing on the rest of the season.

There are also a few bogey sides in there as well, teams that Chiefs would ordinarily expect to beat, but have come up short against in the recent past.

They have beaten Chippa United just once in their last five league games, which includes three defeats.

They must also travel to Baroka FC, Polokwane City and Bloemfontein Celtic, where they have found the going tough since the start of the 2017/18 season, winning just four of the 15 matches played against these three sides.

In fact, ironically, the team they have the best record against in the remaining fixtures is Sundowns, having won three and lost only one of their last five clashes.

PREDICTED FINAL POINTS TALLY: 61
