PROSPECTS:

Orlando Pirates face two of their other title challengers in their final seven matches, and will hope they can continue the form they showed since the start of the year under new coach Josef Zinnbauer.

The matches against Mamelodi Sundowns and BidVest Wits will be key in deciding their fate, and if they could win both of those it would also potentially knock their opponents out of the running as well, doing a massive favour for bitter Soweto rivals Chiefs.

Pirates finished the 2018/19 season strongly, winning five of their remaining six games, with the only blemish a 2-2 draw at Cape Town City that ultimately cost them the title.

They must face The Citizens again in what is another difficult encounter, while they also meet SuperSport United and Maritzburg United in games that you feel could go either way, or end in a draw.

Pirates have averaged just 1.39 points per game in 31 previous matches against the teams they must still face this season, which would see them end on 50 points this time round.

We think they will do slightly better than that, but not enough to break into the top three.
