Nomvethe won 82 international caps and remains domestic football’s top scorer with 123 goals to his name through his spells at all PSL clubs that he played for in African Wanderers, Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, Moroka Swallows and AmaZulu. He is 43 on his next birthday at the end of the year but was still fit enough to come out of retirement and return to competitive football this year when he joined Uthongathi. He was at Swallows during the 2010 World Cup and would then move on to hometown club AmaZulu in January 2016, where he temporarily retired last year before lacing up his boots again this year.
