Welcome donation boosts Keurbooms River security
Security for Keurbooms River has been boosted, with a donation of much-needed security equipment recently.
The Keurbooms River Master Home Owners Association (KRMHA) received a donation of vehicle decals, area signboards, reflector vests and a cellphone to place their neighbourhood watch patrollers in contact with the Fidelity ADT security armed response vehicle that is deployed in their area.
Fidelity ADT Garden Route branch manager Steven Green says the company is delighted to support the local community with this donation.
“The fight against crime is a team effort,” he says. “Neighbourhood watches and other community organisations such as KRMHA are our eyes and ears. They provide security companies and the police with the accurate information we need to effectively respond to crime.
“Having and maintaining good working relationships between various community safety organisations – like neighbourhood watches, private security companies and the police – is very important as they can yield positive results in the fight against crime.”
The donation, explains Green, will assist greatly in boosting the visibility of security and neighbourhood crime prevention efforts in the area.
“We have found that increased visibility and awareness can serve as a great deterrent when it comes to local crime. The cellphone provided is also critical as it creates a communication channel between the association and our Fidelity ADT officers on the ground.” –
