Game aids water conservation

-

Due to insufficient rainfall, water resources in South Africa are under tremendous pressure. The demand for water has increased and this is putting a strain on existing water supplies in the country at large.

Water reserves in the Western Cape are particularly strained. Game acknowledges that water conservation is pivotal in these times of drought and has taken a commendable step in removing all pools from all Game Western and Eastern Cape stores until water levels stabilise. Additionally, Game is also involved in a variety of water conservation campaigns with suppliers that will go a long way in helping to alleviate the water crisis.

Game’s marketing and customer director Mark Turner says the impact of the drought will worsen if adequate water conservation measures are not implemented. “We are all responsible for playing a role in meeting human demand for water and achieving sustainability. We encourage all individuals, businesses and schools to take a step to save water – no initiative is too small because every drop counts.”

Game Western Cape stores are holding water prices until 31 December 2017 through the Game Water Price Freeze. Customers can buy two bottles of Bonaqua 1,5-litre still water for R15 or two bottles of Aquelle 5-litre still water for R30.
