Scholars interact at Rotary training
Another successful and fun-filled Rotary Interact Training Day was held recently at Belvidere Manor.
Members of the Interact clubs from Knysna Sekondêr, Percy Mdala, Concordia, Montessori, Heatherhill, Oakhill and Knysna high schools participated as well as a group of Interactors from Plettenberg Bay. Herb Hunter from the Knysna Rotary Club organised a number of ice-breaker games to get the students excited and they all shared stories about their groups and the work that they are doing in their various communities.
There was a leadership drumming session run by Phil Golson, which was a lesson in listening, following and leading. Pastor Nicholas Mfecane gave a moving talk on personal leadership. The presentations done by the different groups were not only interesting but also showed a high level of dedication.
If these youngsters are representative of the calibre of our future leaders, our country is in good hands.
This was not only a fun day, but also a time of communication, sharing and inspiration for the young participants, as well as for the Rotarians who had the privilege of attending.
A special thanks to Belvidere Manor for hosting this event, and for the great lunch.
