Maserati revealed its latest flagship offering the new Quattroporte 2017 to South Africa at the official launch of its showroom in Bryanston, Johannesburg.

Maserati, an iconic brand renowned for exclusivity, Italian design, performance and craftsmanship, has established itself as force to be reckoned with in the luxury vehicle segment in South Africa.

“We have grown from strength to strength, having established two showrooms in Johannesburg and Cape Town, with a third to be opened during 2017 in Durban. Our Bryanston showroom also includes servicing facilities that are in line with Maserati’s global standards,” says Brad Graaff, operations man- ager for European Automotive Imports — South Africa, the official importer of Maserati in South Africa.

He added that the new flagship Quattroporte 2017 represents the quintessence of Italian sport sedans and exudes elegance, with the signature Maserati personality. It features exterior restyling, a refined interior and additional high-tech features. Furthermore, a new trim strategy has been launched with the introduction of the GranLusso and GranSport trims.

The restyled Quattroporte’s exterior can be recognised by the new bumper design with matte black profile at the front and the matte black extractor at the rear. Even the new front grille, a centrepiece of the Maserati identity, has evolved into a new shape inspired by the Alfieri. Other distinguishing details of the new Quattroporte are the matte black side skirts and the exterior mirrors, slightly restyled to incorporate some new technical features.

The redesigned central dashboard now accommodates a high resolution 8.4-inch screen with multi-touch function. The central, lower console has also been redesigned and now features a rotary knob for volume and functions control.

Additional features include a standard air quality sensor on all versions and an advanced driver assistance systems optional package, which has: an adaptive cruise control; lane departure warning; forward collision warning with advanced brake assist; automated emergency braking; surround view camera and an electronic parking brake.

The new trim strategy for both the GranLusso and GranSport was conceived to meet the needs of clients who seek a differentiated and unique product in the luxury sedan segment.

“South Africa was recently voted one of the top three countries for entrepreneurship in a recent report. We are confident that the new Quattroporte 2017 will meet the needs of entrepreneurial pioneers and business trailblazers alike,” concludes Graaff.
