Mi7 is making matric dances memorable

- Jade le Roux

Out with old school Rolls Royce and classic cars; this year, security company Mi7 is dominating the entrance to many city schools’ matric dances.

Voortrekker High School matric learner Deryn Currin asked Mi7 National Group to help make her entrance to her matric dance unforgettable.

For most learners, one fancy car is enough, but with Mi7’s help, Currin’s entourage of formidable Mi7 vehicles escorting her metallic lime green BMW ride with flashing lights and sirens made a show-stopping entrance.

Mi7 has been pulling through for many local learners this matric dance season, making their entrance to their final school dances that much more memorable, and unconventional. Last month, Mi7 escorted learners from Michaelhouse and St

Charles College to their matric dances, and Currin decided to keep up the trend.

Because her matric dance was on a dirt road, instead of Mi7’s iconic Mustang, Currin was escorted by Mi7’s 6x6 land cruiser.

Reflecting on her night, Currin said the Mi7’s presence made her entrance that much more memorable.

“When I got out, there were just flashing lights and sirens. It was definitely unique. The entrance is the moment where everyone is watching you; it’s definitely the highlight of the night and you want to make a good entrance and have your moment,” she said.

“You only have one matric dance. It’s a really big moment and it’s so wonderful how Mi7 has been so willing to be part of making the experience so memorable for us.” Currin, who has started her matric finals this week, is hoping to pursue a career in the culinary industry next year.

Mi7 National Group director Colin David said Mi7 is dedicated to empowering and inspiring youth.

“Mi7 National Group remains a community-focused, family orientated establishment striving not only to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our city’s residents and businesses, but to empower and inspire our youth.

“We are, therefore, proud to be called upon by future leaders like Deryn to make special occasions all the more memorable. We wish Deryn, and the entire Class of 2021, all the best in their future endeavours.”
