Strawberry Festival finally here to enjoy

-

Join us at the Strawberry Festival presented by Ola on 30 September and 1 October at Redberry Farm in George for a jam-packed family weekend. There are over 50 attractions to look forward to, centred around sweet, sweet strawberries!

Weekend highlights include an outdoor country market, live shows by national artists Majozi, Dewald Wasserfall and Joe Foster, trail running, coffee-and-berry pairings, CrossFit, helicopter flips, dance performances, craft beerand-berry pairings, Zumbathon, tractor rides and the Algoa FM Top 30 broadcast.

Make sure you get the full strawberry experience by enjoying a strawberry treat or cocktail at the Strawberry Emporium, pick your own strawberries in the fields, enter the Redberry Farm Strawberry Eat-Off! and strawberry stomping competitions, or attend a berry pairing.

This ultimate family festival has plenty in store for the kids - strawberry and ice-cream eating competitions, a gigantic inflatable kids play park, tiny tots soft play, and Redberry Farm activities - mini train, pony rides, pedal go-carts, bunny feeding, boats and bubble ball on the dam. Kid-friendly shows include balloon twisting, Meet the Mascot, face painting and the Ace Models Miss Strawberry pageant.

Make sure not to miss this annual country life and good food family weekend!

The festival is open from 09:00 to 17:00 on Saturday 30 September and 09:00 to 16:00 on Sunday 1 October. Entry per day is R150 and includes the live shows (Dewald Wasserfall on Saturday; Majozi and Joe Foster on Sunday) and a free Ola ice-cream. Without the live shows, entry per day is R50, with kids aged 3-12 at R25 and 0-2 years free. View the programme at www.strawberryfestival.co.za
