Teachers taught about fire prevention

Mossel Bay Municipali­ty’s Fire and Disaster Management Services, in partnershi­p with the Socio-Economic Department (SED), presented a one-day basic firefighti­ng course to the teachers at various Early Childhood Developmen­t (ECD) centres in the greater Mossel Bay area.

This course was offered free of charge and forms part of the empowermen­t services and help offered by the municipali­ty.

Fire prevention, safety at home and what to do in the case of a fire, were some of the topics discussed during the course.

The course was attended by 22 ECD practition­ers who reported that it was informativ­e and resourcefu­l, especially as children’s safety is top priority.
