Teachers taught about fire prevention

Mossel Bay Municipality’s Fire and Disaster Management Services, in partnership with the Socio-Economic Department (SED), presented a one-day basic firefighting course to the teachers at various Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres in the greater Mossel Bay area.

This course was offered free of charge and forms part of the empowerment services and help offered by the municipality.

Fire prevention, safety at home and what to do in the case of a fire, were some of the topics discussed during the course.

The course was attended by 22 ECD practitioners who reported that it was informative and resourceful, especially as children’s safety is top priority.

The Mossel Bay Fire and Disaster Management personnel presented a course in fire prevention to 22 early childhood development practitioners.
