Longing for holiday

This week we asked people if they were looking forward to going on holiday, when the lockdown regulations allowed it and if so, where they would go.

ELANIE BASSON: “I would love to go on holiday after the lockdown has lifted. Jerusalem would be my first choice, but a break in our beautiful country would also be lovely.”

BONGANI SWARTBOOI: “In these circumstances of financial constraint, it is impossible to go on holiday. But my first choice for a weekend away would have been the Oyster Festival in Knysna and for a week away, Jeffreys Bay.”

BELLA SWARTS: “Yes, I would love to go on holiday. I have not been on holiday since 2011. Everyone needs to rest their minds and get away from everyday life. A perfect holiday for me is anywhere in the bush and near all our beautiful wild animals.”

BLADSAK SAAYMAN, Stilbaai: “Ek sal hou van vakansie hou en het groot planne om te gaan kyk hoe dit oorsee lyk. As die geldsake nie uitwerk nie, sal ek seker maar Riversdal toe gaan.”
