What a fabulous celebration
Mossel Bay’s finalist in the Mrs South Africa pageant, Berenice Kogana, hosted a highly successful event for women on Saturday, 8 May.
It was held at the Santos Express restaurant conference room, which was beautifully decorated for the occasion. All the tickets were sold.
The celebration was named, “I am Mrs ...”, but it was for all women, married or single.
At the event, Berenice quoted the scripture, Isaiah 54:5-6: “For your Maker is your husband .... ”
Women were asked to wear white and they outdid themselves, looking fabulous. There was everything from simple white blouses and slacks to full bridal regalia.
Lace, so fashionable currently, was the order of the day. Whether the outfits were bridal gowns or casual, lace insets abounded.
The event was like a wedding, but with many brides. The speakers were Dr Ziva Spangenberg and Khanyisa Gadu.
Anointing oil
Ziva is in full-time ministry and is the author and publisher of her own and others’ books and e-books. She has her own fragrance company, which has a Biblical foundation. She gave each attendee the gift of a bottle of anointing oil.
Khanyisa Gadu is a pastor’s wife and a marriage counsellor. A group of intercessors had spent much time praying about the event beforehand. There were worship dancing, singing, tears and also much joy and laughter at the occasion. Attendees enjoyed finger snacks and cake after the formal programme.
