Communicate with municipality
Mossel Bay Municipality offers several channels through which members of the public can communicate with it.
As a local government institution, considered among the top municipalities in the country, the Mossel Bay Municipality strives for sustainable, quality service delivery to the public.
Earlier this year, the municipality received 60 000 copies of its Client Service Charter, which was sponsored by the Western Cape Government.
This handy booklet, which can be used as a fridge magnet, contains all the necessary contact numbers of municipal departments and officials, as well as an indication of the service level required when dealing with a service delivery issue.
These booklets are available at public libraries and municipal offices.
Tap the app
Another innovative intervention to serve the public is the successful implementation of the Collab Citizen municipal smartphone application.
The application offers a number of handy user-friendly tools, which includes the ability to view and pay municipal accounts and to register service delivery requests fast and conveniently – anytime and anywhere.
Residents also receive regular updates in the form of push notifications to inform them of traffic alerts, weather warnings, loadshedding schedules, power outages, water interruptions, public meetings, and more.
What makes this communication channel so convenient, is that it allows users to subscribe only to the updates they want to receive. You may select a single ward where you reside or add your place of work, and other areas you generally frequent.
Municipal newsletters, news articles and other relevant content is also available on the app.
The Collab Citizen application uses minimal data and can be downloaded from Huawei AppGallery, Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
