Black Cats disturb peace
A second-half goal from Banele Keswa helped Black Cats to a 1-0 victory against Peace Makers of Mossel Bay in a Regional League soccer match on Saturday, 11 November, at the Lawaaikamp Stadium in George
Peace Makers got off to a promising start, playing entertaining football, putting pressure on Black Cats defenders with accurate passes into the box, but they failed to score.
The hard-working Mphumzi Kalolo of Peace Makers tried his luck just outside the box, but his shot went over the goal.
The Cats were fending off the offensive play from the visiting side.
Peace Makers central middle fielder Khanyiso "Teko" Myo enjoyed the game, creating havoc among the Black Cats defenders.
Black Cats players Banele Keswa and Mzwandile Jwaqa were playing marvellous touches into the box, supported by Wanda "Chillies" Mkhosi.
Mavi Sandiso of Black Cats tried to get to the goal, but he was prevented by Peace Makers' defenders. The first 45 minutes of the game ended 0-0.
Chasing
The second half saw both sides chasing the game with home team Black Cats creating more opportunities.
Peace Makers launched a forceful attack, but the Black Cats defenders made it difficult for Peace Makers to score. The Cats kept on pressing, causing Peace Makers' back line to panic. The Cats were awarded a corner kick on the right side of the field that resulted in Banele Keswa heading the ball into the goal for Black Cats, making it 1-0.
The visiting team launched an excellent attack, looking for their equalising goal, but the Black Cats back line stood its ground.
Luyanda Laho of Black Cats attempted to score from inside the box, but the ball was blocked by a Peace Makers defender. Cats also failed to convert their opportunity from the resulting corner kick.

Cats, Mivuyo Manzi, excelled, fending off all attempts by Peace Makers to score.
After the game the 19-year-old defender, a Grade 12 learner at George Royal Academy, said he is confident about their next games because they had just earned a much-needed three points at home.
He added that, after starting in the Regional League on the back foot and at a very slow pace, he is looking forward to working harder with the team and collecting more positive results.
