Men leave Mossel Bay much empowered

-

Thousands of men of all ages and from all parts of South Africa descended on Mossel Bay from 15 to 17 December for the first Mighty Men Conference (MMCMB23) held here.

Head organiser Lukas Swart said "the Spirit of the Lord" had been in this event right from the start. He said men left Mossel Bay even mightier in their faith.

He ascribed the success of this first for Mossel Bay to three components.

“More than 50 local men worked together tirelessly for six months leading up to the conference, meticulous planning every detail of the event. Logistics around layout, traffic flow, parking, vendors, sound and seating were carried out flawlessly.”

Secondly, says Swart, the constant quality of contributions from the different speakers during the weekend’s line-up was invaluable. Among them were beloved singer Jo Black, Lukas Korff from the United States and pastors John

Matuhle and Desmond Wessels – all of whom embraced the theme, Arise Mossel Bay, to inspire and motivate attendees.

Swart said: “The final component contributing to the exceptional success of MMCMB23 was that, after three days of seamless togetherness, there was a true sense of brotherhood and profound appreciation.

"Praise for the speakers was voiced far and wide and during Sunday’s family picnic, the camaraderie was extended to wives and children and the broader community of every man in attendance.”

Wives and children arrived in numbers indeed to experience a Sunday of praise.

Numerous women contributed to the success of MMCMB23 through their efforts throughout the weekend. None of it would have been possible without the help of many volunteers from the Mossel Bay public, who gave selflessly of their time and energy, Swart said.
