Businessman lends a hand

-

When someone wants to make a success of his life, be the one to lend a hand.

This went through Ivan October's mind when he paid Leonardo Leslie Muller's 2024 registration fees to further his studies at the University of the Western Cape.

Ivan said: "One does not know the young people's struggles when trying to carve out a life for themselves. Today, making a success of your talents is incredibly difficult. Therefore, I felt it my duty as a businessman from Mossel Bay to support Leonardo."

The youngest of three siblings, Leonardo hails from Great Brak River and started his undergraduate studies at UWC in 2018 and graduated in April 2023. He then joined the Peninsula University of Technology as an intern in the Compliance Department until his contract ended in November 2023.

The University of the Western Cape subsequently offered him an opportunity to study towards an Advanced Diploma in Business Management. "Obtaining this qualification would mean the world to me as I've always believed it would open doors for me, along with an LLB qualification," Leonardo said.

Before meeting Ivan October, Leonardo worked as a cashier to raise money to further his studies. He also opened a Back a Buddy account, https:// www.backabuddy.co.za/leonardomuller-5823615966609537025, albeit with

limited success.

"This young man does not sit on his laurels and wait for opportunities to come his way. Instead, he shows aptitude and initiative to make his dream work. He needs a hand. He needs the wind at his back."

Anyone able to lend a hand is welcome to contact Leonardo (064 354 7951).
