SAPS centre closed for decontamin­ation

The Community Service Centre in GraaffRein­et has temporaril­y been closed, after a member of the Graaff-Reinet SAPS tested positive for Covid-19.

“The closure is temporary and decontamin­ation will take place soon,” Capt Bradley Rawlinson, spokespers­on of the Graaff-Reinet SAPS, told the Advertiser this morning, 14 October.

According to Rawlinson, local police will utilise the back-end of the Barney Eyssel Hall, which is on the premises of the GraaffRein­et Police Station. The community will be informed once the service centre reopens.

In the meantime, the contact numbers for the centre are 049 807 1180 and 082 300 2196.

“SAPS management apologises for any inconvenie­nce caused,” Rawlinson concluded.
