PARK ASSIST FOR BOATS

When you want to fish in one spot, but not for long enough that it’s worth dropping anchor, Mercury’s new Verado 350 motor does it for you. The technology is called Skyhook. Hit the button on the joystick – which is its own impressive innovation, allowing you to dock a boat with simple left, right, forward, and back movements instead of frantically shifting and cursing the wind – and the motor automatically adjusts to currents, using the boat’s GPS co-ordinates to hold it in one place. All you have to worry about is fishing.
