UNHAPPY MEMORY

My swimming pool weir is not situated on the centre line of the pool. The result, I discovered after buying a new pool cleaner, is that – exactly the same as the previous one – it kept getting stuck in a corner. I realised the pipe had created a “memory”, so I “shifted” the weir into a virtual position by tying a bungee cord loop between two joints. I attached another bungee to this and held the other end in place by resting a brick on it. This allows the cord to pull out, if need be.
