THE TECH OF WAKANDA

-

Outside of the panther suit, several other defensive and offensive technologies have been created for the use of ordinary Wakandans, warriors and scientists.

KIMOYO BEADS Kimoyo is a Swahili word meaning the spirit; the beads are used for communication. The prime bead provides a lifetime’s worth of medical knowledge about the individual Wakandan. From birth they are given this one bead. The audiovisual (AV) bead provides a holographic display allowing Wakandans to access to the country’s database (which is similar to the Internet). They can access video files and receive broadcasts on any frequency. The size of the projected screen can be altered from small personal use to larger for display purposes. The communication bead can be also used to communicate with other Kimoyo beads, much as developed countries use mobile telephones. If the Wakandan move their hand in a form of sign language, they are able to send text messages. VIBRANIUM ENERGY DAGGERS With an ornate hilt carved of ivory or some kind of stone, and an energy-generated blade that can be set to stun or kill, the energy blades can be handled like a knife or fired like a dart, and is regenerated repeatedly. They can also be shaped into other weapons such as a scythe or spear. WAKANDAN RESEARCH MODULE A device that is able to build a holographic representation of a story based on its content on Wakandan databases. In the upcoming movie, instead of using flashbacks, the research modules will retell stories instead. HOLOPODS Blue spheres that activate by being tossed. They create multiple illusions of their user. SHOK- NETS Similar to holopods, but silver. These spheres activate by being tossed, hitting their target and exploding into an electric net that wraps around a target.
