MY FUNNY VALENTINE: COMEDY AND LOVE SONGS Masood Boomgaard, Natalie Rungan, Steve Fataar, Sagie Murugan. February 10 & 11 at 8pm; February 12 at 3pm Sibaya Izulu Theatre It will be all about laughs and laughter when some of KZN’s top entertainers share the stage for this year’s edition of My Funny Valentine, a celebration of the month of romance through comedy and love songs.
Long-time collaborators comedian Masood Boomgaard and singer Natalie Rungan return once again to combine their talents for an unmissable show with a little something for everyone.
Joining them will be legendary Flames frontman Steve Fataar and veteran funnyman Sagie Murugan.
Boomgaard is best known for his exploits on the South African comedy circuit where he has performed with some of the biggest names around. He will explore the humorous side of love through his discussions about modern-day dating as compared with the old days and trying to answer the mystical question of what women want. While Masood is usually known for his hard-hitting style he has promised to show a romantic side.
Rungan is known for having one of the country’s most beautiful voices. A recording artist who has performed internationally, Rungan will render some of history’s most memorable love songs by the likes of Whitney Houston, Ella Fitzgerald and Adele.
Fataar will offer acoustic renditions of his biggest hits as well as some of the favourite love songs from the 1950s and 1960s.
Murugan has been entertaining crowds with his side-splitting jokes for three decades and is sure to have the audience in stitches.
My Funny Valentine: Comedy and Love Songs will be on at the Sibaya iZulu theatre on February 10 and 11 at 8pm and February 12 at 3pm. Tickets are R120 from Computicket and Checkers.
