Look to the word of God for rules

play’s “dialogue-format” between characters that Vyasa named Krishna and Arjuna, it is easily taken to be “Divine” instruction. The play, though a literary masterpiece in its time, remains categorised under “Hindu Mythology”.

In Deuteronomy 18:18, Moses is assured that God Himself will “put His words into a prophet’s mouth”. The verse isn’t about 40 books being given to 40 different learned scholars. Prophet Muhammed, a descendant of Abraham via Ishmael, was not privileged with “advanced formal religious education”. History records that when he received the first revelation from Angel Gabriel, his immediate response to the angel was “I am not learned.”

It’s no surprise that centuries earlier, Isaiah 29:11 records: “And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying ‘Read this, I pray thee’” and he saith, “I am not learned.” From this it is quite clear that “one book from God” was to be given to “one prophet” who would have had to be “un-lettered.”

Numerous verses, within its 114 chapters, address the meat-eating issue for all believers.

“Say, I find not in the Inspired Message received by me, meat being forbidden…”-S6:145. “O Ye who believe! Make not unlawful the good things which God hath made lawful for you.”-S5:90. “And to every nation, have We appointed a ritual, that they may mention the Name of God over the beast of cattle that He hath given them for food, and your God is One God, therefore surrender unto Him.”-S22:34. “Forbidden to you for food are: dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, that on which God’s Name has not been mentioned, that which has been strangled, or that killed by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death, or that partly-eaten by a wild animal, or that sacrificed on stone altars, or meat shared by raffling or gambling.”-S5:4.
