-

HOPING to bring happiness into the lives of disadvantaged and underprivileged children, International Bank Vaults will be hosting its 8th annual Children’s VIP Day at the Durban Exhibition Centre on Saturday.

About 3 000 underprivileged children and their caregivers will be transported to the venue where a fantasy land has been created.

There will be fun, games, treats and the kiddies will get to interact with sports starts and entertainment celebrities.

Several of Durban’s top businessmen and women as well as industry professionals are expected to roll up their sleeves to twirl candy floss and hand out eats.

The Chief Executive of IBV Children’s VIP Day programme, Yajna Sewnarain, said: “This annual event was designed to be the ultimate treat for underprivileged children from Durban and surrounding areas.

“There is great importance placed on the relationship between any business and their community and this is the day we choose to give back to our children.

“They are our future, with the potential for greatness, so all we are doing is providing them with a day of fun and fantasy to show them there is some good in the world, there are people who care about them and that they should never give up no matter how dire their situation.”
