R10 000 reward for missing cat

- CHANELLE LUTCHMAN

A DISTRAUGHT Phoenix family has offered a reward of R10 000, a R500 tattoo voucher and five free car washes to the person who helps locate their missing cat, pictured.

Sharon Isaac told POST her oneeyed ginger tabby cat, called King, had been missing since the beginning of September.

Her daughter Leanda is offering her first salary as a reward for the cat’s safe return. The mother said. “I have four other cats and two dogs. It was feeding time and King wasn’t around. I looked high and low and we realised he was gone,” she said.

“We are not sure how he got out (of the home) because he is a house cat. And he would always be around the other animals that we have.

“We assume he got through the bathroom window.”

She added: “My 22-year-old daughter cries herself to sleep every night and even my husband Justin sometimes goes to work late because he will help us search for King.”

Isaac told POST that King had been in the family for the past eight months since she rescued him.

“I found him in February on the road side crying, he was very sickly and we rushed him to the vet. He had something called snuffles, which is a respiratory problem and because of that the vet had to remove his left eye.”

King is light ginger in colour, has one eye and a patch of white fur on his chest.

The family can be reached at 076 429 5676 or 084 869 6982.
