PRAYERS

● The Tinley Manor Shree Siva Soobramaniar Temple will observe its 104th annual Kavady Festival with a flag hoisting on March 23 and Night Kavady on March 30.

● The Stonebridge Mariamman Temple in Phoenix will observe its Amman prayer on March 30.

● The Hillgrove Vishnu Shakti Mandir will observe Ramayan Week from Sunday, Raam Naumi on March 25 and Hanuman Jayanthi on March 31 at the AMF Hall in Newlands West. Call Ray Maharaj on 084 778 5091.

● The Isipingo Temple will hold its temple festival from March 23 until April 2.

● The Sri Parasathie Kaliamman Temple in Phoenix will observe a Sri Gangai Amman prayer and Marie Amman Puthu prayer on March 30 and Sri Hanuman prayer the following day at 10am. The temple will also hoist the Maha Kali flag on April 2 from 5pm and perform durga pooja the next day from 6.30pm. Call 082 291 9173.

EVENTS

● Woodview Ramakrishna Andra Sabha hosts its 16th Raam Bhajan Festival on March 18 at Redfern Drive, Phoenix, from 9.30am.

● The SA Hindu Maha Sabha is co-ordinating the Hindu commemoration of the Mandela Centenary. It will host a meeting of representatives from affiliates and associates on Saturday, March 17, at 2pm at Sabha’s premises in Lorne Grey Centre. Call 031 309 1951 or email sahms@worldonline.co.za.
