SA Futsal squad for Mauritius
THE South African National Futsal Team that will compete in a four-nation friendly tournament in Mauritius this weekend has been finalised.
A squad of 20 players was selected for a training camp in Johannesburg last weekend where the coach of the defending National Futsal League champions Ethekwini City, Kasaval Naidoo, made the final 14 selections. He was assisted by Gregory Nair of Pietermaritzburg-based futsal outfit Young Natalians. Nair will serve as the assistant coach for the island tour where they will play against the hosts Mauritius, Comoros and the Reunion Islands.
Also representing South Africa during the tournament will be match officials Sashen Dorasamy and Saliem Petersen.
Due to the international tournament in Mauritius and the Easter vacations, the National Futsal League fixtures will resume on April 13.
