Aslam is ready to stun SA again
SHOWTIME Promotions’ Veesham Maharaj, Mike Narsey and Vinay Hansraj have teamed up yet again to bring South Africans a stellar act in July.
Due to popular demand, the prince of Bollywood, Atif Aslam, will return to entertain fans in Durban and Johannesburg.
“We brought Atif Aslam to SA in 2016 with Sonu Nigam and the crowd enjoyed it. Since then, they (fans) have been requesting we bring him back,” said Hansraj.
“We made the announcement during Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s recent show and posted a video online, which had over 43 000 reactions. That is the highest number of reactions we have had on social media, so I think it’s safe to say if people don’t start purchasing their tickets they could be left behind.”
The show, in association with Blu Blood, will be held on July 21 at the ICC in Durban and the following day at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg.
According to Hansraj, Aslam – whose hit songs include Tere Sang Yaara from Rustom, Jeena Jeena from Badlapur and Be Intehaan from Race 2, is working on songs for the upcoming movie Race 3.
He is also a judge on Voice of Pakistan.
“We needed to work around him and his schedule and once we found a gap that we could grab to bring him over, we took it with both hands.”
