Glazed Cinnamon Rolls
For the dough:
¾ cup warm water 8g yeast
2 cups cake flour ¾tsp salt
3tbs olive oil
Pour water into small bowl, stir in yeast and let it stand for 5 minutes.
In a separate bowl mix the flour, sugar and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, and stir until a sticky dough forms.
Transfer on to a lightly floured surface. If it’s too sticky, add more flour and knead for 10 minutes. Place the dough into a lightly oiled bowl, cover and allow to rise for an
hour.
For the filling:
6tbs softened butter 5tbs light brown sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon
For the glaze:
1 cup icing sugar 2 tbs milk
Place the dough on to a lightly floured surface. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread 4tbs softened butter then sprinkle sugar and cinnamon.
Roll tightly to form a log from the horizontal side of the dough. Cut into nine even pieces and place into pan, spread with remaining butter.
Bake at 180°C for 20 minutes covered. Then uncover and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
Make a glaze by combining the milk and icing sugar and drizzle over the rolls while still warm. Enjoy as is or buttered!
