Mahas maintains the right cut

-

FOR Jatin Mahas, a good haircut and clean shave is a must.

He said he liked to keep neat, especially for work, and it was a personal preference.

As a result, he has a haircut and gets his beard trimmed every two weeks.

“I spend about R50 a month on a hair cut and use ordinary hair styling gel that I get from the salon. I also use a leading brand shampoo to wash my hair twice a day.”

The civil engineering technician has kept the same hairstyle, a combed side path with a flick, since he started styling his hair from Grade 3.

“I started styling my hair to fit in with everybody else. The style suited me, so I kept it. What I like most about it is that it’s simple to maintain and doesn’t take a lot of time to set, nor is it difficult for the barber to mess up,” said the 24-year-old from Centenary Park, Phoenix.

Mahas said his hairstyle was “pretty ordinary” and as a result did not receive much attention.

“I haven’t considered changing it because I know it doesn’t matter if I keep up with social conformation. All I need to be is true to myself, and I’m happy with the way it is.”
