Dog takes delight in yoga poses

- CHANELLE LUTCHMAN

SHE loves doing all things mummy does and on Sunday Rani the Maltese poodle joined Shobha Mohangi and hundreds of others at the International Yoga Day event at Durban’s North Beach.

According to Mohangi, Rani is talented and loves copying yoga moves.

“She knows beforehand when I am going to do yoga and reacts appropriately by stretching, cuddling and resting her head on me,” the Hindi teacher and Radio Hindvani presenter told POST.

Yoga isn’t Rani’s only speciality, as the 15-year-old also enjoys listening to Mohangi, while she is on air.

“Colleagues have said that while she sits in the car with the radio on, while I am presenting in the nearby building, she barks through the open window to inform the security guard that she needs me during ad breaks.”

Apart from yoga and listening in to Hindi lectures, Rani takes part in the annual Durban Sari Walk and enjoys having reiki done on her.
