POSSIBLE SIGNS OF DRUG ADDICTION
Some of these signs could be for other reasons, but it’s important to monitor them, so you are aware there may be drugs involved.
■ Failure to work, attend school, or general strange behaviour at home.
■ Repeated absences or poor work performance.
■ Neglecting the house or children.
■ Acting strangely while driving or operating a machine.
■ Unable to sleep or eat well.
■ Avoiding people or places.
■ Getting angry very quickly (short temper).
■ Doesn’t care how he or she dresses.
■ Wearing sunglasses when it’s not needed – avoiding sunlight.
■ Wearing long-sleeved clothing in hot weather.
■ Hanging out with substance abusers in the community.
■ Unusual borrowing of money.
■ Stealing small items from employer, home or school.
