MUSIC AND SHOWS Laughing Production­s will host a new line-up of new blood on the comedy scene from September 29 to 30 at the iZulu Theatre at Sibaya. Laugh Lukker Comedy will feature DJ, singer, actor and MC Yusuph Kadoo; and engineerin­g consultant Liam Johns, who opened shows for Loyisa Gola, Marc Lottering and Jason Goliath. And The Beat Goes On, a Motown show seen through the eyes of DJ Superfly, will be held at the iZulu Theatre at Sibaya from September 16- 18. It will take audiences on a nostalgic trip from the 1960s until the present. Tickets at Computicke­t.

Defending the Caveman, starring Tim Plewman, will be staged at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre from October 2 to 14. It humorously exposes the hunter-gatherer in all of us. Tickets at Computicke­t.

Footloose will be staged at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre until September 17. It’s about a tenacious and rebellious city teenager who moves to a small town where rock music and dancing have been banned. The teen leads the young people in a protest against the banning of the annual dance. Tickets at Computicke­t.

Shall We Dance will be staged at the Playhouse Opera until September 17. It will feature close to 100 dancers from KZN’s top dance studios. Tickets at Computicke­t.
