The V&A Waterfront is one of the hottest attractions in Cape Town. And, with the new addition to the Newmark Waterfront family, The Manor House, the Waterfront has become all the more desireable.

From trendy pubs and fine-dining restaurants, to designer boutiques and large-scale craft markets, harbour cruises and tourist attractions such as the Cape Town Eye and Robben Island Musuem, the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront is alive with activity from dusk to dawn. It is no wonder people choose to book their accommodation nearby – with so much to do and see, why would you ever want to leave?

Already home to the iconic Dock House Boutique Hotel and Victoria & Alfred Hotel, Newmark Hotels, Reserves & Lodges has added one more property to the bustling V&A Waterfront.

The Manor House, completed in May 2017, is a four-room private manor house lavished in luxury. Tucked away in the exclusive Newmarket just minutes away from the forever-vibrant Waterfront, The Manor House provides a uniquely peaceful and quiet escape within the heart of all the activity.

Uninterrupted views of Table Mountain await guests from within each of their upmarket suites. Guests can take in the spectacular views from their very own private patio or Juliet balcony. After enjoying your morning drink of choice (served to you in your room by your personal butler), spend some time in the opulent en suite bathroom and freshen up with the sumptuous in-room amenities by Molton Brown. These products are made from some of the most precious ingredients in the world, and have been specifically chosen to provide guests with the special treatment that they deserve.

The bathrooms are luxurious and spacious retreats, with a glorious freestanding tub and spacious shower. All of the interior spaces were designed by the renowned Francois du Plessis – a Cape Town-based designer who has worked on various large-scale commercial and residential properties both nationally and internationally, including in London, Berlin, Sydney, New York, and San Diego.

“The Manor House is elegant and modern with understated luxury and glamour, offering every comfort for our guests,” explains General Manager for the Queen Victoria Hotel, Juan Wolmarans. And, every comfort was indeed considered when designing these suites – from the king size bed facing the wall-mounted flatscreen TV, to the elegant dining table overlooking the city skyline, and situated within close proximity to the complementary minibar and coffee station. Everything about these rooms, even down to the finest details, exemplifies perfection.

To top off the offering, all rooms come with a personal butler service of the highest standard. The butlers at The Manor House have all been specially trained to perform a wide range of duties, from booking theatre tickets to unpacking luggage for the discerning guests that book a stay in this hotel. Every task undertaken by the butler is handled in the most charming manner.

Aside from the quality of the service and the excellence of The Manor House’s design, there are some additional perks to staying at one of the Waterfront properties of Newmark: Guests are welcome to make use of the facilities offered in the sister hotels. Enjoy the artisanal-style, all-day dining restaurant Ginja at the Victoria & Alfred Hotel or a fine-dining experience at Dash Restaurant in the Queen Victoria (with sensational purple G&T’S!), the fully functional gym (available 24 hours), a relaxing spa treatment at the Sanctuary Signature Spa, or get some work done with the help of the full conference facilities at The Forum.

Managing Director for Newmark, Neil Markovitz, concludes, “The Manor House completes our vision of creating the Newmark resort-like offering at our Waterfront properties – where guests feel like they get more value, because they chose to stay with us.”
